Created a mobile game for Android using Android Studio to encourage and reward children when learning math. The application was designed using user experience principles including visual design, accessibility and consistency.
Competed at Hack The North as part of a team to create an application that allows users to move objects in virtual reality simply by rotating their smartphones. The user navigates to a web application that sends accelerometer data to Google’s Firebase API and then to Unity.
Virtual Reality, DatabaseFor a class project, our team wanted to promote healthy living as well as positive exercise. We came up with the idea of having a wrist worn LED matrix that lights up according to a persons exercise habits. The wearable uses a heartbeat sensor to detect the wearer’s heart rate and flashes the LED matrix accordingly with several different patterns to let the wearer know if they’ve approached their target heart rate and motivates them to keep exercising.
Arduino, HardwareWorked as a team to implement a real-time operating system with low level C programming to a Altera board in order to navigate a robot using trigger signals. The robot avoids collision by using a proximity sensor. A Parallax heat sensor was also programmed to display the temperature on an 8-Bit LED.
Created seven validated personas for healthcare professionals using Axure RP based on three rounds of in depth user testing. These personas highlight goals, tasks and frustrations that actual users have expressed.
